Ron Blum dedicated 20 years of military service in the Army, Army National Guard,
Army Air National Guard, and Army reserves. After returning from Vietnam, he worked
primarily as a building trades teacher for the Michigan Department of Corrections and ran his
own construction company. A skilled residential builder, he spent years remodeling homes. Now
retired, Ron enjoys reading and spending time with his two golden retrievers in his childhood
hometown, where he met his wife, raised three children, and celebrated 53 years of marriage.
